Are you a content creator? In this article we’ll go over how you can use an app to help enhance you and your content's brand.

Getting Started Building A Content Creator App

What would the internet be without content creators? It’d be a pretty bleak place. In fact, one could argue that without new content daily, no one would ever use the internet. So content and it’s creators are integral to our everyday lives, and you know what else is integral? Our phones. No one can leave their house without their phone. So why not enhance your brand as a content creator with a mobile app? In this article we’ll go over some of the best features to use in our system to help you interact with and gain more subscribers to your content.

What Are Some Great Features That I Can Use To Bring My Content Into My App And Enhance It?

When you’re first navigating through our system, it can be a bit daunting thanks to the vast possibilities of what can be done with your app. That's why we’ve put together a list of some features that you can start off with which we feel will help get you on the right path to creating an amazing app for your brand.

Which Features Can I Use To Bring My Content Into My App?

What’s the most important thing for a content-based app? Displaying your content in its various forms. Be it a blog, photographs, or videos our system has features that allow you to bring this content into your app quickly and easily!

If you have a blog with an RSS feed, you can use our Media Center RSS Feed feature to bring your blog posts into your app. This makes it easy for your readers to see your latest content as our system constantly checks for new entries to your feed. Do you use a lot of images? With our Image Gallery feature you can add a gallery of images that you’d like to showcase. This is perfect for content creators such as food critics, health and beauty reviewers, and fitness trainers.

Another great feature that you can use is our Places 2.0 feature which gives you the ability to showcase different locations within your app. This is a great tool to use if you’re a food blogger and want to recommend places to eat, or if you have sponsors that you’d like to direct business to. This can even be a way to sell ad space for showcase businesses.

Are videos your main form of content? If so, you can bring your videos into your app with our Media Center Manual, YouTube, and Vimeo features. With the YouTube and Vimeo features you can connect your YouTube and/or Vimeo accounts directly into your app, allowing quick and easy access to your videos.

Through the Media Center Manual Feature, you can connect audio, video, and text all into one entry. With a couple taps, users of your app can switch between listening to a song, watching a video, and reading a blog post having to switch between browser tabs. Really — the possibilities are endless in sharing your content.

If you have other web-based content, you can take advantage of our WebView feature which lets you link users to almost any web-based content. You can also use the WebView feature to link to your Instagram page. Along with the WebView feature, we have a Facebook feature that links users to your Facebook page as well as a Twitter feature that links to your Twitter page.

With these features not only can you bring all of your social media pages into one place in your app, but you can have all of your content available with just a single tap! Creating a special space on your subscriber’s phones specifically for your content is immensely helpful in nurturing their enthusiasm for your work!

What Are Some Features That I Can Use To Enhance My Subscriber’s Experience In My App?

Interacting with your subscribers is a great way to make them feel like they’re doing more than consuming your content and adds a personal touch to your app. In our system we have a couple of features that you can use to help enhance their experience when using your app.

If you would like a way to communicate with your subscribers directly, the Social Wall feature is a great feature to use! With the Social Wall feature, you can create a Social Wall that can act like your app’s chatroom. You can use it to talk to your subscribers about your latest video, blog post, or anything else you’d like to talk with them about. Whenever someone joins a Social Wall they will receive a notification every time someone else posts there, so everyone is included in the conversation. This is a great way for you to build and nurture your fan community.

Another great way to connect with your subscribers is through Push Notifications. With our system you have complete control over your notifications. You can send out scheduled notifications, create notification groups that deal with specific topics that users can subscribe to, as well as set up automatic notifications.

Do you attend conferences or hold events during the year? You can use our Events Manual or Events Feed features to inform your subscribers about upcoming events that you’ll be at. The Events Manual Feature allows you to manually input events into the in-app calendar via the App Dashboard, while the Event Feed Feature allows you to add events to the in-app calendar by syncing it with an iCal link.

How Can I Use The App To Create Another Revenue Stream?

It’s hard work making content on a regular basis, but what’s harder is maintaining a consistent revenue stream that allows you to make money off of doing what you love. This could come in several different forms like selling branded merchandise or premium in-app content.

Do you have an online store that sells merch? If so, we have some great features that can help you with bringing your online store into your app. With the Shopify ECommerce, WooCommerce, and WebView features you can bring your online store into your app and make it accessible with a simple tap. Along with selling physical merchandise, you can set up Subscription In-App Purchases so that people can pay to access premium in-app content.

These are just a small handful of features that you can use in your app to help expand your reach as an artist, but we have many more in our system. We encourage you to check out all of the amazing features that we offer in our system so that you can make the best app for your brand.
